This week in language arts we will be continuing our review of punctuation! We will be going over quotation punctuation, and when to use an exclamation mark or period. On Friday, we will be doing a writing exercise with punctuation. We will also be reading Tuck Everlasting chapters 19 -21 and doing comprehension and vocabulary questions.
This week in Upper School, we’re going to play catch up a little bit and review adverbs, negatives, test over the first half of adverbs and begin prepositions with a prepositional phrase scavenger hunt.
This week in Upper School, students will be reviewing negatives, punctuation, and then studying and taking their first test on adverbs. They will be doing a goal setting writing activity for their spring break, and begin reading “Tuck Everlasting,” not “Matilda.”
This week in language arts, students will be reviewing for their first pronouns test, taking said test, continuing on with the rest of the pronouns unit, and doing a Valentine’s/Mardi Gras activity on Friday.
This week in Upper School, we will be reviewing for our final test in the adjectives unit, and starting a mini poetry unit. We’ll be reading “The Whipping Boy” this week, and will have a spelling list as usual.
This week in Upper School, we will be reviewing for our first adjectives test, taking our first adjectives test, then continuing with comparative and superlative adjectives. We will also be writing a book review for “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. “
This week in Upper School, students will be completing the verbs unit. We will do irregular verbs, contractions, and then review and test on Thursday and Friday. We’ll also be finishing “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.”
