Here it is. We are in November already. I can’t believe it. Here’s what is going on in our class this week.
Our letter of the week is Ff for Fox.
In math, the Kindergarten will be learning about symmetry and shape designs. In 1st grade, we will be working with frames and arrows, reviewing time to the half hour and learning about the dime.
In language, kindergarten will be practicing phonics skills. 1st grade will be reading and practicing grammar skills.
1st grade’s spelling words are ring, sing, king, wing, bring, fog, log, hog, frog and that. Bonus words are harvest and food. Have a great week!
This week in Pre-k, we are learning about words that rhyme. We are also learning about the letter Jj, color brown, number 9, and shape square. Most of us can count to twenty! Most of us can spell our names! We are still working on 2-3 step directions and our listening skills. Projects this week might include coloring sheet for letter J, the number 9, a new nursery rhyme for each day, how many words I can say that start with the letter Jj, and a cutting sheet. The children’s cutting abilities are improving by leaps and bounds. Remember to sign up for your covered dish for the Thanksgiving Feast. As always, thanks for your support and the work you do with your child! Kim Gripp
