Last week of October!

It is the last week of October, and we will finish the month with a bang! After lunch, we will have our second meeting with Mr. Tom, our docent from the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Also, we will finish the day with our Halloween party at 2:15! Students may wear their costumes to school, but any accessories (including but not limited to masks, hats, bags, canes, etc.) may only be used at recess and at the party. Wigs/hair accessories may be worn throughout the day, but only if they remain on.

In language arts, we will learn about different types of folktales and discuss how character relationships affect stories.
2nd Grade math will begin working on telling time. 3rd Grade Math will focus on area and perimeter.
Social studies will continue learning about different types of communities.
In science this week, we will discuss different systems in the human body.
